Meet Aurelie our Restaurant Manager
Aurelie joined Taylor’s Fine Dining in December 2018, before the restaurant opened. Since joining she has helped set up the restaurant, designed and created the wine menu and ensures a smooth running of service. Aurelie has a unique background born and raised in France surrounded by food and wine.

Where were you born?
I was born in Provence and grew up in Beaune on the family’s estate; Château de Corton, the Aloxe Corton vineyard.
Have you always known you wanted to work in the food & drink industry?
I knew from a very young age. Wine and food has always been a passion for my myself and family, as it is with most French families.
Tell us a bit about your career background?
I went on to work locally around Beaune in some of the best Michelin Star restaurants in the area. After I gained some considerable experience in and around Beaune, I decided to move to Corsica to complete a seasonal contract as a head waitress of wine to pursue my passion for wine. From here I moved to the Caribbean and started a new seasonal contract to gain experience as a manager in an endeavour to strengthen my managerial and people skills.
When did you move to Nottingham?
I moved to England on the 23rd of March 2017 to learn English and have remained here since.
Where else have you travelled in the UK?
I have seen the likes of places such as London, Yorkshire, Edinburgh, Cornwall, Nottingham and of course Newark-on-Trent during my travels in England.
What was your first job in England?
My first job here was at, The Devonshire Arms, very notable for its local produce, kitchen garden and, of course, it’s Michelin Star. I was involved in both the wine, and the food in the restaurant and learned a great deal.
How has your career progressed?
Since my English has progressed, I have been taking on some more managerial roles to introduce some French passion and professionalism into some good hotels and restaurants around the country. I am very passionate about great food and wine. I am able to express and demonstrate my passion through Taylor's Fine Dining.
