T A Y L O R ’ S is a family run fine dining restaurant with the core intention of highlighting and elevating the best local produce, in an innovative, exciting way.

Father and son chef team Steve and Rhys Taylor both have a passion for promoting and championing the quality of fresh, seasonal ingredients without wasting any of it.

Our vegetables are from local farm shops, our meat is from local farms and our fish is line caught and sustainably sourced from excellent suppliers based on the east coast of England.

With all our produce we endeavor to use the whole item. Vegetable peelings get made into purée, shells and bones are used for stock, excess fat for butter and offal for pâté.

Newark is a remarkably well-situated town in terms of access to excellent ingredients. Not only are we surrounded by fruitful agricultural land and dedicated farmers & gamekeepers. We are also lucky enough to share the town with the dedicated small business owners who make access to all those commodities a joy. 

This devotion to using and supporting local begins with kitchen produce but doesn’t stop there. Our: wine, glassware, table decorations, flowers, cutlery, paintings, murals, furniture and carpets are all from independent Newark and Nottinghamshire businesses.

Taylor’s is a family-run fine-dining restaurant serving bold flavours using classic cooking methods and outstanding ingredients. We offer a relaxed intimate restaurant experience with seating for up to 48 guests across 4 different areas.

What We Do?

Our menu is seasonally led, we source the best possible ingredients using local suppliers, when able, to create our fine-dining menus. Our wine list is ever changing and updating to offer the best possible pairings for our menu.
